With the second round of the TSI, the Commission supported Austria with 6 projects in the areas of digitalisation of public administration at regional level, early childhood education and care, health system, material efficiency as part of the circular economy and financial sector. 1 of those projects was a multi-country project.

   • Improving the framework conditions for staff in early childhood education and care to enhance the quality of education for children (Implementation of the European Child Guarantee)

In the first round of the TSI, the Commission supported Austria with 7 projects in the areas of education, taxation, financial sector supervision, national economic security and preparedness, digital public administration, healthcare and sustainable finance

   • Digitization of the application of tax law in Austria
   • Innovative methods of identifying ominous bank behaviour employing new public data sources
   • Strengthening Austria’s national economic security and preparedness
   • Identifying strategies for the development and implementation of digital-ready legislation

   • Improving patient access to medicines through securing, strengthening and expanding national production of medicines

   • Cross-sectorial environmental scenario analyses

in 2022, Austria has benefited from 29 projects financed by the Technical Support Instrument or by its predecessor, the Structural Reform Support Programme. This support has addressed a broad range of policy areas, including public administration, better regulation, public spending, financial literacy, healthcare and education.

A particular focus has been on the digitalisation agenda in both private and public sectors. To date, 12 projects have been successfully concluded. 

Austria has so far benefited from 16 projects financed under the predecessor of the TSI, the Structural Reform Support Programme (SRSP). This support has addressed a broad range of policy areas, including public administration, better regulation, public spending, financial literacy, healthcare and education.

A particular focus has been on the digitalisation agenda in both private and public sectors. To date, 6 projects have been successfully concluded.
