Developing e-government and artificial intelligence (artificial intelligence) to support RRP implementation in slovakia
The European Commission provided support for the future creation of data governance and management strategy, including legislative, organizational, procedural and operational recommendations for the content of the strategy and recommendations and roadmap for the strategy creation process. It delivered methodology and analysis to establish a robust legislative and institutional framework for our digital transformation journey. It aimed at ensuring a seamless transition into the digital age, encompassing global, EU, and Slovakia contexts' assessment, studying current and upcoming regulatory frameworks, and formulating a comprehensive institutional setup for digital transformation. The project aimed at enhancing the quality of life for marginalized groups, including socially and economically disadvantaged, disabled, elderly, and individuals on parental leave, through personalized and user-centric digital services. It addressed the inadequacies of existing municipal-level assistive services for digital communication, focusing on overcoming barriers and challenges faced by these users.
Context
A general architecture change is essential to increase eGovernment services’ long-term efficiency. Therefore, the project provided recommendations for a new modern data governance and management strategy. Part of the project arised from the necessity of aligning operations with modern standards and regulatory demands in a continually evolving digital landscape. The project is also rooted in the recognition of significant disparities in digital access, necessitating user-centric, accessible digital services for marginalized groups.
Support delivered
The support involved legislative, organizational, procedural and operational recommendations for the content of the strategy, recommendations for the strategy creation process, demonstration of the impact of the new approach to governance and data management on the selected TO-BE process model and indicative roadmap. The support also included an analysis of the current regulatory landscape, a robust institutional setup and its methodology any change needed, draft plans for legislative and institutional transformation and proposal of future governance setup to effectively deliver the transformation.
Results achieved
The key result is comprehensive strategy for legislative, institutional and governance transformation to significantly enhance the quality of life for marginalized users, making digital services more accessible and user-centric.
