Supporting reforms and investments under the Recovery and Resilience Plan (Component 17)

The objective of the project funded by the European Commission was to support Slovakia’s Ministry of Investments and Informatisation in launching a support scheme for digital technologies, and in providing a framework for eGovernment solutions for priority life situations.

Context

Slovakia is facing challenges in building a functional digital ecosystem, in terms of developing a comprehensive eGovernment agenda and providing adequate support to the digital transformation efforts in the country. The Ministry of Investments and Informatisation requested support to address these challenges and implement digitalisation related investments included in Component 17 of the national RRP.

Support delivered

It was analysed Slovakia’s preparedness and strategic priorities regarding digital transformation and developed recommendations on a grant scheme and calls on the crucial digital technologies. Capacity building workshops were also organised. Priority life situations were mapped and a prioritisation framework was built based on stakeholder consultations and data analysis. A governance model was developed to ensure efficient implementation of eGovernment services.

Results achieved

Grant support and eGovernment implementation measures developed during the project are important for their successful deployment in practice and for supporting digital transformation in Slovakia. Priority life situations were also mapped to prepare an input for eGovernment services’ application and a governance model framework was developed to ensure efficient interaction between the stakeholders.
