Supporting the Czech national coordinator of intelligent mobility
The European Commission is supporting a comparative review in the Czech Republic and four other EU Member States (Austria, Netherlands, Poland, Estonia) of:

the current state of policy, institutions and regulations and overall governance of Intelligent Mobility in the Czech Republic and the four other Member States;

the good practices in the four other Member States resulting in recommendations for structural reform in the Czech Republic based on these good practices.
The purpose of these reports was to provide evidence-based recommendations to the Czech Republic on how to introduce structural reform to improve the overall governance of Intelligent Mobility policy.
Context
Intelligent mobility is an area of growing technological progress and policy interest, but policy responsibility in the Czech Republic was perceived as being too dispersed over various state authorities/line Ministries and local/regional authorities. Therefore, the Commission financed the provision of a comprehensive analysis and a reform/performance enhancing proposal for the current policy infrastructure on smart mobility, including the possible creation of a function of National Co-ordinator of Intelligent Mobility.
Support delivered
The two main support measures delivered were an analytical comparative report on the current state of intelligent mobility in the Czech Republic and four other Member States and a report with recommendations for structural reform, based on good practices in the four other Member States.
Results achieved
The expected result of the project is an improved overall governance of Intelligent Mobility in the Czech Republic, which could include in particular the setting up of a National Co-ordinator for Intelligent Mobility in the Czech Republic.
