On 21 March, Commissioner for Cohesion and Reforms, Elisa Ferreira, presented the new set of reforms that the Commission will be supporting in all 27 Member States through the Technical Support Instrument.
The new round of projects will contribute to improve public services, to create sustainable growth, to make our economies more competitive and to ensure local and regional development.

This conference is organised by Directorate-General for Structural Reform Support (DG REFORM) of the European Commission in the context of the French Presidency of the Council of the European Union, with the support of the Presidency of the Greek Government, to mark 10 years of cooperation, in the area of public administration and governance, among the European Commission, the French Republic as Reform Partner and the Hellenic Republic as Beneficiary.

On 5 May, the European Commission organised the 2022 Technical Support Instrument Annual Conference, to highlight the importance of the Technical Support Instrument for the successful design and implementation of key reforms in the Member States.
Furthermore, the conference addressed, in particular in the context of the recent crises (COVID 19 pandemic, Russian invasion of Ukraine), whereby Member States need to strengthen further their resilience and the structural capacities of their administrations. The conference also marked the official launch of the TSI 2023.

On 9 March, Commissioner for Cohesion and Reforms, Elisa Ferreira, presented the new set of reforms that the Commission will be supporting in all 27 Member States through the Technical Support Instrument.
The Commission will provide support to Member States to design and implement reforms to enhance their resilience against crises, speed up recovery and sustainable growth for improving citizens’ life and businesses activities.

The online conference took place on the 25 November 2021 and built on previous discussions on how to support public administrations in the EU. The high-level panels discussed how the MS public administration is impacted by broad challenges such as demographic change, the complexity of policy issues, or the twin transition. Eight workshops expanded upon these issues discussing among others public administration skills gap, adaptation strategies, interoperability and innovation within public administrations.

In this panel discussion Mr Mario Nava, Director General of DG REFORM, shared insights on how DG REFORM supports EU Member States in the implementation of the Green Deal, focusing in particular on the example of the multi-country initiative on green budgeting training.
